Frequently Asked Questions

All Standard braiding services include standard kankelon hair.

Goddess and boho braids include the standard hair but do require you to bring in one pack of the curly hair of your choice. Our braider suggests Freetress Deep Twist or Freetress Water Wave for synthetic options or Ibizia Deep Wave for a human hair and longer lasting option.

Twist services with hair added (i.e. Flat twists and flat twist updos) do not include the hair. The stylist’s suggestions are Marley or Springy Afro Twist hair.

Passion Twists do not include the added hair. The stylist’s suggestion is Outre Springy Afro Twist hair.

Crochet braids do require that you bring in the hair of your choice.

Sew In & Weave services do require that you bring in the hair of your choice. The stylist’s suggestions for sew-ins and other long-term weave services are Milk Mane , True Glory, or Indique Hair. (At least 3 bundles for a full sew in) The stylist’s suggestion for ponytails and other short-term weave services is Shake N Go hair.

The short answer is yes!

Wig Installations do require a consultation and below are a few questions to consider:

1. What kind of wig is it? A closure wig can be serviced by our stylists Mariah or Fatimah.
2. Would you like your knots bleached? Bleaching the knots is not required, but it does help the wig look more realistic. If you’d like us to bleach the knots for you it will be an additional $38 and we’d need to have the wig 3 days prior to your installation appointment.
3. Would you like your wig sewn or glued down? Closure wigs can be glueless, sewn down, or glued down, but frontal wigs have to be glued down.

If you have not detangled or combed through your hair within 24 hours of your appointment and/ or it takes your stylist longer than 15 minutes to separate your hair prior to shampooing then you will need to add a detangling session to your service which is an additional $30 to ensure there is enough time allotted to your appointment. Any detangling service at the 2 hour mark is $108 and anything after the additional 2 hours is $60 per hour.

Rodset services require extensive time under the dryer to make sure the style has as much longevity as possible. Because of this extended time, it is best to call in to book your rodset service and one of our guest service specialists will be happy to help you book your appointment.

Color services are very unique to the person (ex. previous hair color history, health of hair, desired color outcomes) and as such require a consultation to ensure that both the stylist and client are on the same page when it comes to the color service. It is best to call in to book your color service consultation and one of our guest service specialists will be happy to help you.

Children ages 5 to 12 can receive the kids braiding service.

The scalp treatment uses a detoxifying shampoo with a charcoal base and blend of essential oils to help cleanse, refresh, and help heal the scalp. It unclogs pores and removes dirt, dead skin cells, and excess oil from the scalp. This is best for clients with excessive product buildup, oily, or dry scalp.
